This project began when I explored two of my favorite designers Cristiana Couceiro and April Greiman styles', and explored how they can relate to one another. I found a common theme amongst Cristiana's work, and learned that she values her heritage, sense of place, and travelling. She believes that a lot of her design should stay within her home country of Portugal, since that is where she learned the most about why she does what she does. I think Cristiana is fascinating, thus much of this style exploration revolves around Cristiana. I felt it to be fitting to explore aspects of travelling as a major visual in these designs. I have followed her work since achieving my design degree, and I continue to be impressed.
I believe her work taught me the importance of designing your life.
